Um, I know that not many of you would be interested XD But for those who are CSS savvy, there's this interesting argument going down on the webdesign community XDDD

LINKY LINK LINK

Basically one douche is like I HATE CSS IT'S SO USELESS (a total lie, btdubs) and everyone else is patiently explaining why CSS is awesome and he's getting all defensive. It's quite funny haha XDDDD

Lolz got my homestay info from Japan!!!!

Until at least January, when it might change, I'll be staying with these folks:

Toshiro (father) and Noriko (mother) Age with their 17yo son Keisuke and their parents (presumably on the mother's side) Kesaki and Fumie Watanabe :D:D:D

YAY HIGH SCHOOL AGE SON XDDDD I was so afraid I was gonna get stuck with an empty nest haha. That happens a lot since hosting a student is expensive (we pay money, but the family is lucky to break even) and families with kids often don't have the money or the time and empty nesters get bored lol (one of the girls who studied abroad in Japan last year got stuck with this 70 year old lady who didn't want her to leave the house). I really wanna experience like real family life in Japan. I'm a little nervous about the GRANDPARENTS though XD Talk about most likely to be super conservative XDD With this many people in the house XD, I hope they're rich so they can afford to give me a corner to myself XDDD I really hope they don't turn Keisuke out of his room for me XDDD (a distinct possibility). I'd rather he didn't resent me for taking over his room lol. WITH ANY LUCK, he'll be gay and my new gay best friend in the Nihon, though he's a little young to be hanging around all the time XD (don't wanna cramp his style).

GUYS I'M LEAVING IN A MONTH AND A HALF. SHIT I HAVE TO STUDY.

So yeah, I'm excited XDDD

Also, wtf am I going to do without gay people around XDDDD My entire social scene is built out of gays and faghags XDDD

Also sadness: State Radio and Parker House and Theory are playing on Cape Cod this Saturday but it's 21+ ;< Ultimate tragedy.

Also I think the Japanese purposefully make the glue that seals their envelopes weak so that you are forced to use the cute seals that usually come with the stationary packs in order to keep them shut.

Hitler was going to build a dome so large that if some 170,000 people (I think that was the number) stood inside, their body heat would generate enough precipitation that it would actually start to rain inside the building! That's something I'd like to experience, but hopefully without the influence of Hitler standing over my head XDDD

Is anyone interested in eating dinner with me tonight? The menu consists of turkey meatballs in spaghetti sauce over long grain wild rice ;D The reason is that the meatballs are leftover from another dinner and have to be eaten before they go bad, but there are too many for me to eat by myself :< There's definitely enough for me plus one other, maybe two others if we add a little something to the meal, just in case. Either someone can come to my house or I can go to someone's place with the food :P Let me know if you're interested. If I don't get any offers, I'm going to eat it all myself at 8pm.

5:00 pm - Life at Home
Aaaaaaa the home life :< So boring. But at the same time it's so relaxing XD

This summer I wasn't able to find a job, a fact that I am secretly celebrating. Last semester was so hectic for me that I literally had no time for myself, never even mind my friends, whom I sadly neglected, so having all this time to lounge around on the couch and catch up with my life is wonderful :D

I've been keeping myself busy with a couple classes online but often I lack the motivation to actually do them since all I want to do now is lounge around doing nothing XD

Also I've been playing the Sims 2 like a madman with my sister. We made this ridiculous castle. It costs over 700,000 simoleons. It's even got its own bowling alley and a room just for makeovers. Now we're trying to get our sims to earn enough money to buy it XD We also put it up on the interbutts on that website where you can download custom content. I'll get Michelle to take some screenshots sometime. We're going to make a second castle that's more fairy tale and pretty. The first one was more of a fortress. It's got this ridiculous moat just for lulz.

I'm also trying to write a book this summer. Well obviously not the whole book XD That takes too long. Right now I'm outlining it and I really want to finish this one.

Needless to say, I've been watching a LOT of tv this summer. I've been catching up with the Red Sox, COPS, and CSI, my true loves. I've also been watching a bunch of other shows. I've become obsessed with two other shows. One is called Growing Up... on Animal Planet. Every episode follows a baby from a different species until late childhood-ish :D so cute~! Today was Growing Up Camel! :D I love this show lol XD The other show is Confessions of a Matchmaker XDDDDD So lame but so true. It's pretty interesting and can be really cute XD A couple other shows I've been following are Ice Road Truckers on the Discovery Channel (hardcore) and Little People Big World on TLC.

I've also been reading again lol. I just finished a book called Petropolis

Also the movie felt rushed, as if the actors were running through the scenes as fast as possible or something o_O

Saw Pirates yesterday with the crew (no pun intended). I was mostly there just to see my friends for the first time since spring break. I don't really care for the whole Pirates otC thing as much as everyone else. I thought the first movie was good and amusing and all that but I didn't think it warranted the attention it got and frankly, everybody screaming pirates every two seconds made me loathe the entire project. Needless to say, I never saw the second one. I think the third movie would have made more sense if I had.

Visually, the third movie was very cool, despite knowing that whirling water vortexes don't really exist like that, nothing looked obviously CG. The plot was like WHAT. I was barely following. Some stuff I ignored because I assumed that knowledge of the second movie would have made it make sense, but the rest was like WHAT. Also it all felt just kind of hollow. I did like how Elizabeth became king of the pirates XD I thought it was an empowering message to wominz lol. Also her character was a lot less DOUCHEY than in the first movie. I hated her in the first movie. She was such a douche. It made me hate her as an actress and I usually avoid movies with her in it (I also don't really like her acting lol).

I'm not an expert on pirates, but I have learned some stuff. I've watched some documentaries, read some stuff, and listened to real experts talk about them. And even this little bit of half-remembered knowledge, especially the info about ships, made the movie just so lame. Like cannons, cannons couldn't shoot further than like 200 feet or so and with terrible accuracy. And I know you have to glorify things for movies but I think my limited knowledge on pirates and ships ruined it for me lol.

Actually I thought O. Bloom was kinda douchey in this movie. I rather liked Elizabeth, but Will T. was just douching it up all over the place.

All in all, Jack Sparrow made the movie worthwhile. I think that if he hadn't been in it making everything funny, I would have walked out wishing for my money back.

Lol I'm home. I actually got home yesterday. Sorry I haven't been hanging out :< I've actually come down with something wicked. I felt kind of eh on Sunday and on Monday my throat was kinda scratchy/hurty and there was a bit of phlegm back there too and all my muscles hurt, especially the one in my shoulder that I slept on wrong. Also, every now and then, I'd get a SUPER sharp lance of pain through one of the organs in my abdomen XD And I was having chills and sweats this whole time. The whole day my body was just ACHING SO BAD I wanted to kill myself. I tried to get Lisa to do it but she was worried about witnesses :< Of course this is finals time and I had to take one on Monday (easy so it wasn't too bad) and I had a take-home one to pass in on Tuesday, as well as a bunch of paperwork to do for studying abroad. Also on Monday I had to work for six hours. I thought about getting someone to take my shift, but at this time of the year, we're lucky if people can take their REGULAR shifts, since no one wants to work, so I had to suffer through it. Luckily though, at dinner time, instead of going to the DC for my break, I decided to get a Pita, but didn't have any cash on me, so I asked if they took credit (the Pita Pit is a small eatery next to my store) but they said no :< So they gave me a free pita XDDDD since I give them free coffee all the time. I was so in pain the whoooole day. It was so miserable, being alive. And I didn't have any painkillers on me either. Then at about 7:45 (I was working 3-9), Zafar, one of my various bosses, came into the store to see how things were going and he took one look at me and was like ARE YOU OKAY???? And I was like NO :< And he was like, do you want to go home? And I was like yes, but there's no one to take my hours, and we don't even know who is coming in from 9-12 and FUCK IF I'M STAYING FOR THAT SHIFT (except that part was in my head). But then he was like don't worry, I'll stay, you go home, so I went home :D:D I WAS SO FUCKING MISERABLE. At that point, I was wondering if I was coming down with the flu again!! SO MUCH PAIN. I was also feeling a bit dizzy at this point. So I went home, tugging along with me a few boxes I confiscated from the store for packing. Once I got to my room, I popped Krrish (MOST AMAZING MOVIE EVER) into the dvd player and started packing. I felt a little guilty XDDD because Jess was studying for a final and I managed to fully distract her with all three hours of the BEST MOVIE EVER, however she fully enjoyed it :D Then I went to bed shortly after she did because it's hard to pack when someone is trying to sleep. I also took some ibuprofen.

I went to bed about midnight/one-ish, but another sympton I was having was CONSTANT URINATION (gross :<) so I would wake up periodically every two hours and have to RUN to the bathroom (like a hundred feet) before I literally peed myself. So I only got like a scattered six hours of sleep before I got up at 8:30 (I'd planned this) to do my last final and all the paper-work and finish packing. I also had to clean the room because it was a MESS. I was feeling so ill too. My muscles still all hurt and I had a pounding headache (I also had this the day before, my head felt like it was going to explode) and my throat was KILLING ME. It was all fire all the way up and down. I went to get breakfast because I was SO HUNGRY and I met Sean in there really fast so we decided to eat together and meanwhile I'm all dizzy and shit and my head is pounding and my stomach is growling up a storm and everything just hurts. I'm also occasionally smelling vomit everywhere even though no one has vomitted (and neither have I). Breakfast is lame and tastes weird :< but seeing Sean is nice and conversing with him about Japan is nice (we're going to the same school and flying together). Then as we were just about done, we saw Jason wandering around the DC and waved him over, but since we both had things to do we couldn't stay with Jason long so we left.

So I went back to my room and called ComCol (our Honors program, I just joined it) and set up a meeting with them because I forgot to earlier. The meeting was decided to be at 3. After that I did my final and all my paperwork by noon and by that time I was like OMFG. I was SO MISERABLE. Everything hurt. My head was pounding. My scalp hurt really bad! And my throat was KILLLLLLING ME. Also I was pretty dizzy all day. And my feet hurt because I'd run out of clean socks and had to wear my flipflops around the last few days (which I'm not used to so I have blisters). So I pack myself up and leave to start my errands. I stopped by Melissa's room to say hi and she gave me some Dayquil, which I don't think I could have completed my day without @_@ It made such a difference. First I head to IPO (International Programs Office) to drop some stuff off, then to Whitmore to pick up some papers, then to Herter to drop off my PRAF forms, then to Bartlett to drop off my final, then to Goodell to wait for my 3pm meeting. I talked with Pat Li who works there for a while and then it was time. It was basically just an initial review of what I'd have to complete in order to finish the honors progam and I discovered that when I return from Japan, I will have it almost completely done @_@ I'll just have to take the three dean's book classes as well as do my 40-60 page thesis (YIKES). So that was good news. But by the end of the meeting (3:30), I had drained the last of my water bottle, which I had been drinking from to relieve my throat. I also had to PEE LIKE A BITCH, so I ran to the nearest bathroom, got lost (AGAIN, the bathrooms there are SO CONFUSING, I've done this like one million times), and finally made it @_@

So then I run back to my room and continue to pack until dad arrives at 4:30 and he starts loading the truck with what I've managed to pack and by this point, I'm just fucking tired and exhausted and miserable and Melissa's dayquil has worn off and I'm dizzy and my legs hurt. Dad takes everything downstairs and then helps me finish packing and cleaning up. I almost started crying in frustration and pain because I felt so sick and pained and there was still so much to do. We managed to get it all done and then went to Crazy Noodle for dinner and the wanton soup's hot broth soothed my throat. Then a torturous 2.5 hour ride home. As soon as we got everything inside, I went straight to bed. Then I woke up today and felt marginally better, but still shitty and my throat didn't hurt QUITE as much. I watched movies all day until about 3:30/4ish when I got this KILLER EAR ACHE that was unbearably painful. So painful I couldn't focus on any activity for long :< Mum gave me some nyquil and that helped since I guess it's blocked or something and nyquil helps unblock stuff.

It hurts to be alive :

Also the weirdest part of going home is going to be not speaking a weird conglomerate of Japanese and English XD It's going to be so 大変. I mean what if we need to 海に行こう so that in the あつい天気 we can be 喜んでいる??? HAVE YOU GUYS EVER THOUGHT ABOUT THAT? It sucks because typically the pertinent information is in Japanese XD Seriously guys. I had this crazy dream last night/this morning. Basically it consisted of me getting married (possibly arranged??? I think it might have been arranged) to this wicked hottt Chinese girl from an incredibly traditional family and I went to live in her house (with all her family or something like that o_0 her parents weren't there and I don't know where they were) and I was sitting on the couch and she served me lunch but it wasn't actually her, it was her sister, who looked EXACTLY like her and she had several more of the same, and it turned out that by marrying her, I had married ALL of them XD DREAM COME TRUE???? So after eating, I went into the kitchen and saw them start cleaning up and I wondered if it would be too breaking with her family's really strict tradition for ME, the man in the relationship, to cook grilled cheese and soup for my wife for lunch or if even the food was not traditional enough o_O It was so weird but so happy XD

I NEED TO GET MARRIED.
